Budget Absorption in 2010 Highest in 4 Years

VIVAnews - Indonesian Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo said in a statement that budget absorption in 2010 is expected to reach 93.6 percent of the State Budget ceiling, the highest within the last four years, whose average percentage has been 90.4 percent, regardless the annual absorption rate which is not yet full-scale.

The realized institutional budget up to December 23, 2010, only hit 83.4 percent of the Revised State Budget ceiling, lower than last year's 86.5 percent.

"The transfer of budget realization list (DIPA) by the end of the year is intended to enable tender be carried out earlier," said Agus today, Dec 28.

He said the auction processes for goods and services procurement may be initiated by the end of 2010.

The complete DIPA was sorted out on December 20, 2010, consisting of sectoral DIPA for central and provincial agencies worth Rp 432.7 trillion.
